BCPL Railway Infrastructure Ltd announced that its subsidiary BCL Bio Energy Private Ltd has been granted provisional stage-1 clearance for the production of ethanol from grains such as maize and rice, to blend with petrol.
According to Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Rules 2016, Department of Industries and Secretariat of State Investment Promotion Board, this is the first stage clearance. The clearance allows BCL Bio Energy to apply for more clearances as needed under the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Rules 2016.
Aparesh Nandi, Chairman BCPL, announced the provisional stage-1 clearance of its subsidiary BCL Bio Energy Private Ltd by the Bihar Government, Department of Industries, and Secretariat of State Investment Promotion Board.
Nandi said they are hopeful about other clearances required under the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Rules 2016, and they will be granted to them soon.
He further added that the project includes Ethanol production from grains such as rice, maize, among others, at Bihar, Purnia or another suitable place.
It will be operational in around 14 months, and its commercial production is assumed to be reflected in the accounts by FY23.
BCPL Railway Infrastructure Ltd shares were previously trading in BSE at Rs 54.75 compared to the previous close of Rs 45.75.
