DTCP Takes Action, Demolishes Illegal Colonies

01 Feb 2024

In a significant move aimed at reclaiming urban land and ensuring planned development, the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) has initiated the demolition of 100 structures in 12 illegal colonies across Gurugram. This proactive step is part of the ongoing efforts to curb unregulated construction and promote adherence to established town planning norms.

The targeted demolition, spread across various zones within Gurugram, comes as a response to the proliferation of unauthorized colonies that pose environmental, infrastructural, and safety challenges. The affected structures, previously constructed without proper approvals, are now being dismantled to rectify the urban planning irregularities.

DTCP's action underscores the commitment to maintaining the integrity of planned urban spaces and preventing the encroachment of illegal constructions. The move aligns with the broader agenda of fostering sustainable and organized development in the region.
