EPACK Prefab, a provider of pre-engineered building solutions, expressed its intention to expand its operations in the field of airport and warehouse construction services. According to a statement, the company plans to primarily focus on southern India. It had previously announced the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh earlier this year. The investment for this project amounted to Rs 1.98 billion.
Nikhil Bothra, the Director of EPACK Prefab, stated, "The company aims to increase its market share in the south, which offers significant potential. As we continue to expand our operations, we anticipate making further investments."
The new plant is anticipated to become operational by September 2023 and will be funded internally.
Pre-engineered building structures find applications in various industries such as aviation, small airports, stadiums, commercial ventures, and residential projects.
EPACK Prefab presently operates two manufacturing facilities in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. These facilities have a combined annual production capacity of 100,000 metric tonne of prefabricated material. With the addition of the new plant, this capacity will double to 200,000 metric tonne, as per the company's statement.
Bothra further added, "This expansion is crucial in order to offer cost-effective services throughout the country, particularly in the southern market where demand has been on the rise. The proximity of the new facility to ports will aid in meeting export demands, with a primary focus on Bangladesh, Bhutan, and the Middle East."
In the fiscal year 2022-2023, the company recorded a revenue of approximately Rs 7.75 billion, a significant increase from Rs 3.5 billion in the previous fiscal year. EPACK Prefab aims to surpass Rs 10 billion in revenue during the current financial year. Prefab construction has also gained prominence as a viable option for building in challenging terrains like mountainous regions due to its lightweight and sustainable features.
