GlobalLogic, the Hitachi Group-owned digital product engineering company, is set to enter the Saudi Arabian market next year following its recent acquisition of Sydney-based automotive engineering firm Katzion in Australia. While the deal size remains undisclosed, Nitesh Banga, President and CEO of GlobalLogic, anticipates synergies from the Katzion acquisition to materialise by January 2024.

Banga stated, "We've already commenced work on that. We already have several clients in common where we were servicing one end of the client's ecosystem, and Katzion was servicing another."

Piyush Jha, Managing Director and Head of India and Asia Pacific at GlobalLogic, emphasised that the acquisition strategically positions the company in Australia, following its establishment in Japan the previous year. He commented, "We established ourselves in Japan last year; we see that as a very prominent market."

This marks GlobalLogic's fourth acquisition in the past 12 months, with Jha emphasising the importance of acquiring capabilities that align with market trends. Additionally, there are discussions about collaborating with Indian startups to enable telecom carriers to monetise their 5G networks.

"Some of the big network providers are already our clients. We believe that by collaborating with their captives in India, we can bring the next generation set of innovative use cases, using not only industrial 5G but also AI," Banga noted.

Currently, GlobalLogic operates in seven locations in India  Noida, Gurgaon, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Pune, and Chennai ' and anticipates double-digit growth from the India segment in 2024-25.
