GR Infra emerges as lowest bidder for transmission project in MP

GR Infraprojects Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder (L-1) to establish a 2500 MW “transmission system for evacuation of power from renewable energy (RE) projects in Rajgarh special economic zone (SEZ) in Madhya Pradesh” via tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process.

The transmission project is on build-own-operate-and-maintain (BOOM) basis.

On March 10 2022, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited, the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC), held an e-reverse auction.

It was to select a transmission service provider (TSP) based on international competitive bidding following the TBCB guidelines for transmission service and guidelines for encouraging competition in development of transmission projects.

The TSP would be responsible to establish the transmission system comprising a 400/220 kilovolt substation at Rajgarh and 400 kilovolt double circuit transmission line in Madhya Pradesh.

The G R Infraprojects Limited is a construction engineering company with over 25 years of implementing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects.

Currently, on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), G R Infraprojects was trading at Rs 1,454.65 a piece, which is up by Rs 8.9 or 0.62%.
