The GHMC has announced its decision to introduce paid services for the removal of construction and demolition (C&D) waste or debris directly from the citizens' doorsteps. It has been stated that citizens will now have the option to utilise this paid service to have their C&D waste, arising from either new construction projects or renovations, lifted by authorised agencies.
According to GHMC officials, citizens can access this service through various channels such as the GHMC website, the My GHMC app, or by calling the toll-free number (1800-120-1159/ 1800-203-0033). They further elaborated that citizens are required to store their C&D waste at a convenient location near the entrance within their premises and then submit a request for its removal through one of the aforementioned modes of communication.
The authorized C&D waste management agency under GHMC will then dispatch the necessary vehicles to collect the waste upon receipt of the payment. The cost of this service is stated to range between 390 and 450.
