India Energy Week in Goa: Showcasing growth and opportunities

Next month in Goa, India will host the annual India Energy Week (IEW), where energy ministers from 17 nations and global corporate leaders will gather to explore a vast array of business opportunities. The event aims to spotlight India's confidence and positive growth in the energy sector, showcasing lesser-known solutions. Hardeep Singh Puri, the oil minister, emphasised the significance of IEW in unveiling various developments in the energy sector.

Key foreign participants, including energy ministers from Iraq and Nigeria, as well as the secretary general of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), are expected to join the dialogue. The second edition of IEW in Goa will feature 900 exhibitors, marking a 30% increase from the previous year, with an estimated total of over 35,000 participants. Country pavilions dedicated to Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, the UK, and the US will be present at the event.

The discussions at IEW will cover a wide range of energy issues, including oil, natural gas, renewable energy, green hydrogen, biofuels, and sustainable aviation fuel. Puri highlighted India's role as a key driver of global energy demand growth for the next two decades, offering diverse business opportunities for potential investors.
