JSW Steel became the 13th industrial house in India and the first within the JSW Group to get the CISF security cover. CISF deployed its forces at the Dolvi Works plant owned by JSW Steel in Maharashtra.

JSW Dolvi Works has a steel production capacity of 10 million tonne with allied facilities and a cement manufacturing plant. The plants are being supported by the Dharamtar Port run by JSW Infrastructure.

JSW Group took possession of the steel plant in 2010 and made further significant investments to establish the cement and port operations.

JSW Steel Chief Operations Officer Gajraj Singh Rathore said considering the significance of the industrial facility and investments, it was necessary to have enhanced protection from different security risks.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) protects over 350 establishments in India. The Central Armed Police Force protects the country’s vital assets such as space establishments, airports, seaports, Delhi Metro Railway Corporation, the department of atomic energy, government offices located in Delhi, and VIP security.
