Inaugurating India’s longest cable-based bridge, Sudarshan Setu, Prime Minister Modi termed it “an engineering marvel”. The bridge connects Okha mainland and Beyt Dwarka Island and has been built at a cost of around `9.8 billion in Gujarat. Sudarshan Setu boasts a unique design, featuring a footpath adorned with verses from the Bhagavad Gita and images of Lord Krishna on both sides.

It also has solar panels installed on the upper portions of the footpath, generating one megawatt (MW) of electricity which will light the bridge. Before construction of the bridge, pilgrims had to rely on boat transport to reach Beyt Dwarka. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs.41.5 billion in Gujarat's Dwarka.

In a related development, PM Modi virtually laid the foundation stone for Sikkim's first railway station, Rangpo Station, and the foundation for about 550 Amrit railway stations.
