NHAI hosts eco-friendly workshop for NH development

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), a state-owned entity, held a national workshop focusing on eco-friendly measures for comprehensive national highway development.

The statement elaborated that during the workshop, various stakeholders and experts discussed different aspects concerning forest and environment clearances, including eco-friendly mitigation measures.

During his opening speech, Anurag Jain, the Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, emphasised the importance of a collaborative approach among different departments. He stressed the utilisation of the PM Gati Shakti framework to effectively develop sustainable National Highway infrastructure across the nation.

In his address, Santosh Kumar Yadav, the Chairman of NHAI, highlighted the necessity for greater collaboration and the integration of sustainable practices right from the conceptualization stage of projects, starting with the Detailed Project Report (DPR).

Indian entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath announced the launch of a Rs 2 million non-dilutive grant fund named WTFund.

WTFund, which stands for "We Transform Fund," offers a comprehensive package, including a non-dilutive grant of Rs 2 million, allowing founders to maintain full equity in their ventures. The fund aims to support 40 aspiring entrepreneurs aged 25 and under. These individuals will undergo a thorough screening process and receive personalised support and mentorship for one year until they secure their first institutional funding.
