Odisha suggests amending the regulations governing deviation settlement

01 Oct 2022

For the security and stability of the grid, the Odisha Power Regulatory Commission (OERC) has released the updated draught of the "Deviation, Settlement Mechanism, and Related Matters Regulations, 2022" to make sure that grid users follow their schedule of electricity drawal and injection.

The deadline for stakeholders to submit their ideas is November 18, 2022.

When selling or buying energy through intrastate transmission or distribution lines that are supported by short-term open access, medium-term open access, or long-term access, the restrictions will apply to both the seller and the buyer.

All sellers who schedule their electricity through the state load despatch centre and have installed generating capacity of at least 1 MW will be subject to the requirements.
