Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for numerous infrastructure projects totalling thousands of crores in the state. The inauguration and foundation laying were conducted through video-conferencing from New Delhi while he addressed an event titled 'Viksit Bharat, Viksit Rajasthan.'

During the event, two highway-related projects executed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) were inaugurated by the Prime Minister. These projects, beneficial for the Jodhpur district, included a solar project worth around Rs 53 billion, power transmission sector projects (Rs 21 billion), and several others (Rs 24 billion), including projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Additionally, an LPG bottling plant of Indian Oil in Jodhpur was inaugurated by Modi.

The NHAI projects made accessible to the public are three stretches of the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway (82.395km), most of which runs through Rajasthan, costing Rs 38.76 billion and completed in four years. Another project is the greenfield 23.88 km six-lane ring road around Udaipur, bypassing the city to alleviate traffic congestion, with a cost of Rs 10.83 billion.

An NHAI official mentioned, "The Udaipur bypass will provide faster connectivity between Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, and Ahmedabad. Vehicles will no longer have to enter the congested Udaipur city."

To fortify the railway infrastructure, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for eight projects worth approximately Rs 23 billion. This included the opening of the Khatipura Railway Station, developed as a terminal and satellite station for Jaipur, the Jodhpur-Rai Ka Bagh-Merta Road-Bikaner section (277km), the Jodhpur-Phalodi section (136km), and various other electrification projects of rail routes, including the Bikaner-Ratangarh-Sadulpur-Rewari section (375km).

Foundation stones were laid for a maintenance facility for Vande Bharat sleeper trains at Bhagat Ki Kothi in Jodhpur, a similar facility in Hanumangarh, and for the doubling of the Bandikui to Agra Fort rail line.
