In a significant step towards the advancement of renewable energy solutions, it has been reported that Dr B Satya Sekhar, who holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu, has initiated a collaborative research effort with Prof Jenn-Kun Kuo. Prof Kuo is affiliated with the Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Research Laboratory at the Department of Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University, located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

The collaborative project is named "Renewable Energy Storage based on Reversible PEM Fuel Cell for Grid Applications." It has received approval from India's Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Taiwan's National Science and Technology Council (NSTC).

The combined endeavour, led by Dr Satya and Prof. Kuo, embraces a comprehensive strategy for the development of an effective renewable energy storage solution. This solution is rooted in the principles of a reversible Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC), which has been specifically customised to suit grid applications.
