A joint venture between state-owned RVNL and private steel company STEL had secured an international project valued at Rs 590.62 million. The project had been granted by the Energy Development Corporation for the Rwanda Transmission System Reinforcement and Last Mile Connectivity project (TSRLMC).

It was mentioned that the scope of work included the design, supply, and installation of 45.8 km, 110 KV double circuit Rukarara-Huye-Gisagara transmission lines.

Previously, it was stated that the joint venture had won a transmission project worth approximately Rs 1.74 billion in Madhya Pradesh.

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) disclosed that it possessed a 51 percent stake in the JV, while STEL held the remaining 49 percent stake.

RVNL that the order from Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company involved the construction of 132 KV and 220 KV transmission lines and associated feeder bays on a complete turnkey basis in the eastern part of the state.

The project was scheduled to be completed in 18 months, with the order size amounting to Rs 1.73 billion.
