Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of Aviation, held a meeting with the officials and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on kickstarting multi-modal logistics hubs across India.
He said it is a necessary infrastructure for cargo movement seamlessly and customer-friendly. He chaired the meeting with the officials and the Department of Commerce on kickstarting multi-modal logistics hubs in India. Scindia added that suggested institutionalising a Project Management Group with stakeholders spanning over the ministries and industries to identify and manage the overall challenges of the project. At the end of December 2020, the government approved a multi-modal logistics and transport hub (MMTH) at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, to make India a leading player in the global supply chain. A multi-modal transport project and a logistic hub that was proposed in Bodaki village on 478 hectares of land during its 123rd meeting at its main administrative building in Knowledge Park-IV.
