Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) announced that it had entered into an agreement with Endurance Technologies to establish a 12.5 MW captive solar plant in Maharashtra. TPREL revealed that a Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) had been signed with Endurance Technologies via a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) TP Green Nature, according to a statement issued by TPREL. It was specified that the plant would be constructed in Aachegaon, Maharashtra, and would produce 27.5 Million Units (MUs) of electricity annually. This initiative was expected to significantly decrease Endurance Technologies' carbon footprint, leading to the mitigation of approximately 9,125 Metric Tonne (MT) of carbon emissions every year. The project's completion was anticipated within 12 months from the PDA signing date. TPREL's CEO, Ashish Khanna, stated, "Our collaboration with Endurance Technologies to establish a captive solar plant will assist them in embracing sustainable energy solutions." He further added, "At TPREL, our commitment lies in aiding energy-intensive businesses across diverse sectors in actively embracing environmentally friendly energy solutions and contributing to the nation's energy transition journey." Following the implementation of the proposed captive solar power plant, TPREL, a subsidiary of Tata Power, reported an overall renewable energy portfolio of 7,889 MW. The operational capacity of the company amounted to 4,188 MW, comprising 3,185 MW of solar energy and 1,003 MW of wind energy.
