Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a strategic partnership with the digital division of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) aimed at overhauling and streamlining their digital infrastructure. The objective is to construct a cutting-edge, adaptable technology architecture that aligns with JLR's "reimagine" strategy.

This collaboration marks an extension of TCS's decade-long partnership with JLR Digital, which has involved supporting the luxury automaker's optimisation, growth, and innovation endeavours. Valued at £800 million over the next five years, this new partnership deepens and broadens their existing relationship. TCS will tap into its extensive contextual knowledge, domain expertise, proprietary platforms, extensive partner network, and skilled workforce to help JLR enhance its digital capabilities, streamline and manage its digital assets, and establish a robust digital foundation to facilitate its business transformation.

As part of this renewed partnership, TCS will provide a comprehensive range of services, spanning application development and maintenance, enterprise infrastructure management, cloud migration, cybersecurity, and data services. TCS stated in a regulatory filing that this partnership will generate significant cost savings for JLR over the next five years through synergies and economies of scale with suppliers, freeing up cash flow for future investments.

Beyond the contractual aspects, TCS and JLR are collaborating to accelerate JLR's vision of creating a modern, luxury client experience tailored to diverse global markets. Anupam Singhal, Business Group Head – Manufacturing at TCS, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its dual focus on operational efficiencies and digital transformation. Nigel Blenkinsop, Executive Director of Enterprise Performance & Quality at JLR, emphasised the importance of building strong partnerships and leveraging the Tata Group's resources as part of their "Reimagine" strategy. He sees this partnership with TCS as a means to expedite their digital transformation, thanks to TCS's extensive capabilities and deep understanding of their business.

With more than 45 years of operation in the UK, TCS boasts a strong presence and collaborates with over 200 well-known businesses in the nation. As the leading provider of software and IT services in the UK market by revenue, TCS employs over 23,000 people in the UK and Ireland.
