The first expressway in Bihar, from Buxar to Bhagalpur, would be built when a feasibility study is conducted by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
According to a senior officer with knowledge of the situation, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) would conduct a feasibility study for the construction of Bihar's first expressway, which will run from Buxar to Bhagalpur.
In addition to other proposed four-lane expressways like Gorakhpur-Siliguri, Raxaul-Haldia via Patna, and Amas-Darbhanga access-controlled highways, the senior officer, who was a member of the state delegation that met with the Union minister, claimed the expressway will be a green field project. The expressway will be built such that vehicles can go at a speed of 120 kmph, whereas access-controlled roadways only permit speeds of up to 100 kmph.
