Yeida plans to develop Aerotropolis

01 Sep 2023

In a visionary move set to transform the landscape near the upcoming Noida Airport in Jewar along the Yamuna Expressway, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allocated an expansive 6,554 hectares of land for the development of an Aerotropolis. This ambitious project is poised to create a thriving hub for business activities, surpassing the scale of Delhi's renowned Aerocity located adjacent to the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.
The decision to embark on this remarkable venture was revealed by Mr. Arun Vir Singh, the Chief Executive Officer of YEIDA, who expressed his vision for an even larger and more dynamic business hub than Delhi's Aerocity. The proposed Aerotropolis will encompass a vast area, offering unparalleled opportunities for commercial and economic development.
YEIDA's 78th board meeting marked a pivotal moment in the project's progression, as it officially approved the allocation of 6,554 hectares of land for this transformative initiative. The next crucial step involves seeking approval from the Uttar Pradesh (UP) government, which, once granted, will propel the project into its next phase of development.
The planned Aerotropolis will complement the ongoing development of the Noida Airport, which is strategically located along the Yamuna Expressway. With this bold move, YEIDA aims to establish a strategic nexus between the airport and the burgeoning business activities in the region, further enhancing the region's economic potential and fostering growth.
This visionary project underscores YEIDA's commitment to facilitating economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and fostering a conducive environment for business enterprises. Once approved by the UP government, this monumental venture is set to redefine the landscape and elevate the economic prospects of the region.
As YEIDA advances toward realizing its vision of an expansive Aerotropolis near Noida Airport, the business community and stakeholders eagerly anticipate the opportunities and potential that this transformative project will bring to the region.
