UltraTech cement will soon become India´s largest cement maker following its acquisition of the cement business of Jaiprakash Associates. The Rs 5,325 crore value deal will see the company take over Rs 636.50 crore of debt and increase its cement capacity from 60 mtpa to 65 mtpa. That said, it is expected to be manufacturing around 71 mtpa by 2016.
