Purvanchal Expressway is a prestigious greenfield project under construction in India. It commences near village Chand Sarai, located at Lucknow-Sultanpur Road (NH-731), district Lucknow and concludes near village Haidaria on National Highway No. 19, before 18 km of UP- Bihar border, in district Ghazipur. This project had been envisaged knowing its strategic importance to uplift the eastern part of the state along with providing seamless connectivity to the state capital and national capital through other Green Field Expressways in the State viz. 'Agra to Lucknow Expressway' and 'Yamuna Expressway'

  • The Purvanchal Expressway being the greenfield alignment entails an enormous requirement of approximately 2.34 crore cubic meter of earthwork, 16 lakh cubic meter of WMM, 10 lakh cubic meter of Asphalt paving.


    Perfect foundation with HAMM 311 soil compactor
    A fleet of 53 HAMM compactors has been in action across the expressway length contributing to accelerate the pace of construction with quality compaction. 

    Made in India Hamm 311 soil compactor with an operating weight of 11 tonne and 2.14 m wide vibration drum ensures high compaction force and a large static linear load of up to 30 kg/cm on the construction site. The 3-point articulation technology provides for outstanding all-terrain mobility, supporting safe manoeuvring on uneven ground and offers excellent driving comfort by effectively dampening the vibrations.

    Quality paving with world-class VÖGELE pavers
     Twenty-eight Vögele pavers having clocked approximately 25,000 working hours are seamlessly operating in tandem with Hamm. The Voegele Super 1800-3 pavers with a paving width of 9 m in one pass have effortlessly paved the Purvanchal expressway in all the packages followed by the Hamm Tandem rollers to compact the final layer.

    Vögele, an epitome of excellent longevity and reliability offers the range of sensors pavers from 1.5 m paving width to a maximum of 18 m – one of the largest pavers in the world.
