UP to launch housing scheme for slum dwellers

The Uttar Pradesh government on January 5 decided to launch a housing scheme for minorities and slum tenements, an official spokesman said.

The State Cabinet approved a proposal to set up a special tiger protection force for Duwdhwa Tiger Reserve.The proposed force, intended to check poaching, will have 112 personnel, the spokesman said.
