Foundation laid for Kiru Hydroelectric Project

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently laid the foundation stone of the 624-MW Kiru Hydroelectric Project, being implemented by Chenab Valley Power Projects. The Rs 47.08-bn project envisages the construction of 135-m-high concrete gravity dam and four underground power houses with 156 MW each.
