Phillips Carbon Black commenced the commercial operation of 16 MW cogeneration power plant at Mundra in December 2009. It had earlier started the commercial operation at its carbon black plant at Mundra, whose production capacity is 90,000 mtpa.
Phillips Carbon Black, a part of the RPG Group, pioneered the carbon black industry in India. It is now the leading producer of carbon black in the country. The company posted a net profit of Rs 32.32 crore and revenues of Rs 313.29 crore for the quarter ended September 2009.
