The first unit of Krishnapatnam thermal power project in Nellore has plans to begin its commercial operations soon, if all goes as planned. The power generated from this plant will be shared with the Telangana discoms. Incidentally, Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Ltd (TSSPDCL) and The Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TNPDCL) too have stakes in the AP Power Development Company.
