MoU between India and the UK approved

The Union Cabinet has approved signing of the MoU between Indian Railways and the Department for International Development of the Government of the UK, for enabling energy self-sufficiency for Indian Railways. The MoU is for co-operation covering technical, policy, research and commercial aspects in the field of development of energy sector. The aim is to support structural reforms and the integration of renewable energy into the electricity grid.
