Rs.6.50 bn rejuvenation plan for Ludhiana Nallah approved

The Government of Punjab has approved a Rs.6.50-bn plan for rejuvenation of the highly polluting Buddha Nallah in Ludhiana. The nallah has a total length of 47.55 km, of which 14 km passes through Ludhiana.
The city has been heavily polluted by industrial and domestic waste thrown into the nallah, causing a major threat to public health and environment.
