The Karnataka State Government announced an allocation of Rs84 bn for Bengaluru’s development projects, compared to Rs 77 bn in the previous fiscal year. 71.3 per cent of the budget allocation, or Rs 60 bn of the total allocation for Bengaluru, has been set aside to repair the city's crumbling infrastructure. This Rs 60 bn will be diverted to the infrastructure sector over three years under the state scheme Amruth Nagaroththana.
