Eighty AMRUT projects worth Rs 4.06 billion completed

A total of 80 projects worth Rs 4.06 billion have been completed in three cities of Jammu and Kashmir under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) mission, while the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has asked the government of the Union Territory to ensure prompt execution of 24 other works, the contracts for which have already been awarded. As per the document of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs containing the progress of AMRUT projects, in the three mission cities of Jammu and Kashmir, apart from the 80 projects completed, contracts have been awarded for works worth Rs 1.94 billion. AMRUT was launched in 2015 in 500 cities and towns across the country, and in Jammu and Kashmir, there are three such cities: Jammu, Srinagar and Anantnag.
