An MoU for the development of City Gas Distribution (CGD) networks to supply dependable, affordable, and environmentally friendly natural gas across fifteen districts of Karnataka has been signed by the state and AG&P Pratham. To build CGD networks across the state, AG&P Pratham will be investing Rs 80 billion over the next eight years. More than 55 per cent of the state's geographic area and 42 per cent of its population are located in the area being developed by AG&P. The plan is to construct 1,000 km of steel pipelines and 5,000 km of MDPE pipelines over the course of the next 8 years, providing natural gas to 5 million households, industries and commercial establishments.
