About 11 months after the release of the PM Gati Shakti - National Master Plan, the government has identified 196 essential infrastructure gap projects including port connection and the movement of coal, steel, and food products that are being expedited. A comprehensive pan-India port connectivity plan, a framework to track foodgrain and fertiliser movement across the country, and mapping of schools and Anganwadi centres are also being added to the portal, which aims to build a robust infrastructure, fill logistics gaps, and attract more investments into the country.
