In an effort to augment the state's healthcare delivery system, the Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, reportedly approved the Health and Family Department's proposal for the setting up of 150 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Paediatric Care Unit (PCU) beds in various hospitals across the state. Out of these, 26 will be Pediatric ICU (PICU) beds.
The estimated cost of the proposed ICU and PCU beds has been estimated to be over Rs.192 million, as per reports.
