The 16th CONSTRUCTION WORLD Architect & Builder (CWAB) Awards will be held on August 20, 2021.

“You can dream, create, design, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it requires people to make the dream a reality.” 

True to these words are the people who build the nation: Our very own architects and builders. 

Sixteen years ago, the CONSTRUCTION WORLD ARCHITECT & BUILDER (CWAB) Awards were initiated to recognise and award excellence in the design and building community. 

In the past 15 years, CWAB has had:

India’s most coveted awards for the architecture and building industry for the past 15 years, CWAB is the only awards event that recognises, felicitates and brings together architects and builders on a common platform.

INDIA’S TOP ARCHITECTS AND BUILDERS, four years ago a new category of awards was added – NOTEWORTHY PROJECTS – thus reaching out pan-India to award projects that have excelled and become landmarks. 

Further, in a bid to unearth even more talent across the country, three years ago, yet another category of awards was introduced by adding a new dimension to the awards – 

The REGIONAL AWARDS. These are presented to a Top Architect, Top Builder and Top Interior Designer in each of the regions: North, South, East and West. The aim: To recognise and offer a platform to companies striving for excellence and whose operations are focused in a particular region.

Last year, too, no pandemic or lockdown could stop the architect and builder fraternity from coming together! In August 2020, the 

15th CWAB Awards were held for the first time virtually, and honoured over 40 winners across the categories of India’s Top Builders and Top Architects; Regional Top Architects, Top Builders and Top Interior Designers; and Noteworthy Projects.

Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Governor of Maharashtra and Governor of Goa, was the Chief Guest and Shri Ved Parkash Dudeja, Vice Chairman, 

Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), graced the event as the Guest of Honour at the virtual awards last year.

“The whole world has virtually stopped, but FIRST Construction Council’s CWAB awards and functions are still going on!” remarked renowned Architect 

and Padma Bhushan Hafeez Contractor. “I really congratulate you and thank you for the positive work you are doing for our 

building industry.”

Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, Founder & Managing Director, Hiranandani Group, too, thanked CW for once again recognising his firm among India’s Top Builders 2020. “Even in these COVID times, it is wonderful to know that CONSTRUCTION WORLD continues to hold award ceremonies. The COVID situation is difficult and yet many of us can continue with construction activities even in this difficult time. Thank you, CONSTRUCTION WORLD, for recognising this activity of the construction industry, the developers and the building industry.”

This year, too, no second wave stops CWAB! Once again, the ‘Oscars of the design and building industry’ will honour and felicitate the best in the architecture and building business with prestige and glamour! 

The CWAB Awards will be held virtually on August 20, 2021.

Our Guest of Honour this year is Dr Vibha Dhawan, Director General, The Energy and Resources and Institute (TERI). 

Dr Dhawan has been associated with TERI since 1985. She has also served as the Vice Chancellor of TERI School of Advanced Studies from 2005 to 2007. A Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India, she is currently serving as Adjunct Professor, Consul General South Asia Partnership, Michigan State University. She is the winner of the Indian Women Achievers Sammaan 2017 by NRI Achievers; Women Leadership Agriculture Award 2016 by the Indian Council of Food & Agriculture; First Biotech Product and Process Development and Commercialisation Award of the Department of Biotechnology in 2000, the Kamal Kumari National Award for Science and Technology; and the first All India Biotech Association (AIBA) award in 1998.

Stay tuned for the CWAB Awards 2021 on August 20, 2021. The Awards will felicitate Top Architects, Top Builders and Noteworthy Projects along with Top Builders and Architects in Tier-II and Tier-III cities through the Regional Awards.
