In-principle approval for port at Vadhavan

The Cabinet has approved setting up a major port at Vadhavan near Dahanu in Maharashtra. Costing approximately Rs.655.44 bn, the Vadhavan port will be developed on the “land lord” model. A special purpose vehicle will be formed with Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust
as the lead partner.
