KPT to lease area as big as London Docklands

Kolkata Port Trust (KPT) is looking to lease or rent its land, which is as big as the London Docklands, to boost profit. KPT owns nearly 4,500 acre, and it uses about 2,000 acre of this. The plan is to utilise this land bank and improve operations, augment capacity and diversify, as reported. Property Consultants JLL has reportedly been hired to survey and digitise records of the KPT’s land bank.
