VO Chidambaranar Port expansion to begin

VO Chidambaranar Port Trust has received environment and coastal regulation zone clearances to expand its capacity with an investment of Rs 57.20 bn. Expansion work includes deepening the harbour basin, widening the port’s entrance, building six new berths, and strengthening or upgradation of the existing berths.
