Jewar airport awaits authorities’ nod for new master plan

01 Feb 2021

Noida International Airport has forwarded suggestions from the Director General of Civil Aviation and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for minor changes to the airport master plan of Yamuna International Airport (YIAPL). Comments and suggestions from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, DGCA and AAI are necessary to ensure compliance with all rules. Once all agencies send their suggestions, YIAPL will revise the master plan and the NIAL board will approve it. YIAPL will then prepare a development plan to be submitted in 90 days after the master plan is finalised. Work is expected to begin at the site by middle of this year. NIAL is the nodal agency to monitor the project, while YIALP will develop and run it.
