Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of about 1,200-km long 33 NH projects in Karnataka. These projects include 1,197-km long roads worth Rs.109.04 bn. Reportedly over 900-km of NH length has been added in Karnataka during the last six years, and now the NH length stands at 7652-km. Eleven road projects of 275-km worth Rs.50.83 bn have been awarded in the State during the financial year 2019-21. The Union Government is planning to invest approximately an amount of Rs.1161.44 bn in Karnataka State in the coming years.
