Rs. 358 crore allotted to build, strengthen roads in Nashik district

The Maharashtra government has allotted Rs. 358 crore for construction, widening and strengthening of roads including the state highways, major district roads and other roads across Nashik district, along with bridges in various talukas of the district. Most of the work was stalled last year due to the Covid lockdown, with funds being diverted to health care. The works sanctioned this year include the construction of about seven small and medium bridges along with over 90 km of roads, which will be widened and strengthened. The Public Works Department will spend Rs. 47 crore for road works In Yeola taluka, Rs. 29 crore in Niphad taluka crore, Rs. 19 crore in Sinnar and Rs. 20 crore in Surgana and Pethtaluka.
