Yes, ASAPP Info Global Group pleads guilty—for not following social distancing with its subscribers, readers and advertisers during the COVID-19 pandemic!
Indeed, whether the aim is transformation, recovery or revival, information is power. For over 24 years, ASAPP Info Global Group has reflected India’s transformation, echoed its aspirations, addressed its challenges and predicted its potential across crucial sectors such as construction, infrastructure, power, real estate, manufacturing, automobile and textiles. A thought leader, ASAPP Info Global Group has radically transformed the B2B universe with its dynamic offerings in the print, Web and events space.

Our array of award-winning, industry-leading publications include India’s premier and largest circulated construction business magazine CONSTRUCTION WORLD, with two separate editions in India and the Gulf; India’s premier magazine for nation builders INFRASTRUCTURE TODAY, which focuses on policy, finance and imple¬mentation issues; EQUIPMENT INDIA, India’s first and only magazine dedicated to the construction and infrastructure equipment industry; INDIAN CEMENT REVIEW, the country’s first and only magazine catering exclusively to the cement industry; India’s only industrial product portal INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS FINDER, referred to as the ‘Bible’ of the manufacturing sector in India; THE INDIAN TEXTILE JOURNAL, the definitive source of information for the Indian textile industry established in 1890; and PROJECT REPORTER, the country’s leading project information source across the private and public sectors. The holistic reach of these leading B2B publications touches seven countries.

Naturally, resolute in our mandate to ask and answer, probe and provide, inform and inspire, we refused to let anything—not even a pandemic—stem our flow of information. Right from the time the lockdown began, our publications held webinars week after week amid crowds of thousands. Despite the fact that mass gatherings were banned, we wilfully invited architects, builders, contractors, developers, government authorities and corporate captains from the private and public sectors! We conducted 20 webinars, gathered over 25,000 stakeholders, and were joined by over 12,000 companies. Our topics demanded answers and raised the temperatures of the attendees, which were then checked over our live online polls. Despite the Prime Minister’s call to ‘stay at home’, our editors ‘Zoomed’ across India and overseas, seeking the views of city leaders, industrialists, economists, bankers, builders, contractors, architects, port, rail and road authorities and government representatives to decode the immediate future and the long-term perspective. We sent recommendations to the Government on what builders and contractors needed; highlighted what manufacturers and MSMEs were struggling with; and did not mask our anger when migrant labour was left to fend for itself and walk home.

As traffic emptied on the streets, we saw our website traffic explode. Crowds jostled for our digital subscription offers as the deadline drew near. Although we were late in delivering our April and May issues owing to a ban on trains, flights, postal services and couriers, we delivered each month—and continue to provide sustained information and analyses of our industries as we resume deliveries of our print copies as per our regular schedule.

Going beyond print, the group provides a 360° information experience through a host of activities. For instance, our bouquet of Industry Recognition Awards include the CONSTRUCTION WORLD ANNUAL AWARDS for construction, equipment and building material companies; the CWAB AWARDS for top architects and builders; the INFRASTRUCTURE TODAY AWARDS that recognise excellence across infrastructure sectors; INDIAN CEMENT REVIEW AWARDS; EQUIPMENT INDIA AWARDS; and IPF INDUSTRIAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS. Other offerings include conferences, seminars and trade expos with ASAPP CONFERENCES; over 12 industry portals and 40 newsletters as well as research with ASAPP INFOTECH; and directory services across sectors with INFOBANK.

ASAPP Info Global Group is not just future-friendly but future-ready. SMART CITIES COUNCIL INDIA is a consortium of smart city stakeholders that acts as advisor and market accelerator by providing stakeholders information and latest updates, disseminating resources, collating industry data, and showcasing achievements.

What’s more, well before CSR became a buzzword for India Inc, ASAPP Info Global Group initiated FIRST—Foundation of Infrastructure Research Studies Training—a not-for-profit trust. To impart vocational training, FIRST, in partnership with the Maharashtra State Government, has adopted an ITI at Belapur, Navi Mumbai, and is in the process of establishing an Infrastructure Management Institute. Further, FIRST INFOCENTRE publishes sectoral reports and newsletters to provide timely information to access business opportunities.

Indeed, ASAPP Info Global Group, a true pioneer, has established its leadership across the gamut of operations—its huge customer base spanning industry sectors, geography and decision-making levels. Numerous national and international accolades are testament to this.

While COVID19 has infected the business psyche and fear has replaced demand, ASAPP’s philosophy of ‘never say die’ promises that this too will pass.  We were always ‘Atmanirbhar’, in keeping with the national mantra. Only this time, we will have to reset our legacy issues with some spring cleaning to emerge as a sparkling opportunity!
