Tender to be floated for setting up heliport in Noida’s Sector 151 A

A tender will be floated for setting up a heliport in Sector 151 A in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The Noida Authority will follow the Jewar Airport Model, providing land and development rights to a private firm for 30 years after signing a concession agreement with the company.

Officials told the media that the Authority is waiting for the state government's approval for the public-private partnership (PPP) bid evaluation committee before inviting bids. The Authority has received approval from the UP government to finalise the bid document and initiate the bidding. It submitted the project documents to the evaluation committee on 21 October.

The Noida Authority plans to give 9.35 acres of land to the interested company in Kambakshpur village to develop the heliport. An equity amount of about Rs 43 crore will be needed for developing the project. The company will have to share its revenue generated with the Authority, and the highest bidder for the heliport will be the successful bidder for the project.

The Authority also plans to develop the helipad with four aprons having a capacity of 10 housing helicopters at all times. It expects the working executives and travellers to utilise the helicopter facility to reach the Noida International Airport in Jewar and IGI International Airport in Delhi. Apart from these services, shuttle services for near tourist destinations will also be planned.

The terminal building will be planned over 500 sq m of land, from which 20 passengers can take off at the same time.
