ABB India plans to expand its Gujarat factory


ABB India told the media that the expansion of its Gujarat factory to cater to the needs of rising international demand for digital substation merchandise and digital techniques.

It is located inside the campus of ABB India. It will meet the rising demand for digital substation merchandise, and digital solutions in India and more than 50 nations.

The manufacturing portfolio includes merchandise like relays. The options vary from centralised safety and management techniques and distribution automation to bus switch techniques and arc safety for the electrical distribution community.

These merchandise are deployed throughout several industries like cement, metal, oil and fuel, energy distribution corporations and renewable power tasks by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

This facility manufactures four variants or sequences of relays, including a good portion of ABB’s portfolio of this product.

Country Head and Managing Director, ABB India, Sanjeev Sharma, told the media that the company had been consistently investing in Gujarat, making it one of our largest manufacturing campuses.The inauguration of this unit shows its commitment to partnering with India’s grid expansion and clean energy targets.

Senior Vice President, Electrification Business, ABB India, Ganesh Kothawade, said that the new facility would help meet the rising international demand from ABB’s prospects to enhance the reliability, pace, accuracy and effectiveness of their electrical tools and networks.
