PNG in all Panchkula houses in 6 months
In about six months, all residents of Panchkula city can look forward to bidding farewell to gas cylinders as they will start receiving piped natural gas (PNG). In the first three months, the supply will be provided in sectors 16, 17, 18, and 6, while the entire city will be covered in six months.
The industrial area will later also benefit from the PNG supply, which will help businesses transition to cleaner energy solutions. At least this month the entire MC area will be covered under this project, which will reduce gas expenses by 25%.
The supply of the cooking gas has already started in flats at society number 32 in Mansa Devi Complex, Sector 5. The municipal corporation has granted permission to Indian Oil-Adani Gas Private Ltd for laying the main pipeline.
Once the main pipeline is completed, separate lines will be laid in various sectors to supply gas to commercial, residential, and industrial areas.
