Sikkim CM Runs for Gangtok Parking Complex Inauguration


Sikkim's Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang, along with his cabinet ministers, actively participated in a lively 2 km fun run organized by Gangtok Smart City Development Ltd. The event, named 'West Point Sarthi' run, commemorated the inauguration of a much-awaited multi-level parking complex in Gangtok earlier in the morning.

An impressive gathering of approximately 1,800 participants, including the renowned model Milind Soman, enthusiastically joined the 10 km run, representing diverse corners of the country.

During the inauguration ceremony at the multi-level parking complex, Chief Minister Tamang expressed his excitement about partaking in the Sikkim Sarathi run, highlighting the significant turnout across various age groups. He conveyed heartfelt congratulations to all participants and winners, commending their commitment to fostering a healthier community.

Kumar Manish, the Vice President of Mesaso Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, emphasized the pivotal role of the multi-level parking complex in addressing Gangtok's persistent parking challenges. With a capacity to accommodate 400 vehicles, this project, developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model between West Point and Gangtok Smart City Development Ltd., aims to offer a sustainable solution to the city's parking woes.
