Dalmia Cement, Tejas Cargo India and Blue Energy Motors have partnered to deploy an electric heavy-duty truck for cement transportation operations in Rajgangpur, Odisha. The initiative marks a step towards sustainable freight transportation and reducing emissions associated with logistics operations.

Operated by Tejas Cargo India, the Blue Energy Motors electric truck will support Dalmia Cement’s logistics requirements while contributing to cleaner and more efficient supply chain operations.

With businesses increasingly focusing on reducing their environmental footprint beyond manufacturing operations, freight transportation has emerged as a key area for addressing Scope 3 emissions. The collaboration highlights how manufacturers, logistics providers and vehicle manufacturers can work together to accelerate the adoption of cleaner mobility solutions.

The deployment also represents a milestone in the adoption of electric heavy-duty trucks in India, demonstrating the readiness of the technology for commercial applications across industries such as cement and infrastructure.
