JK Cement Starts LC-3 Production at Rajasthan Plant

JK Cement has commenced commercial production and dispatch of Portland Calcined Clay Limestone Cement (LC-3) at its Mangrol facility in Chittorgarh district, Rajasthan. The new product, launched under IS 18189:2023 and certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), is a key part of the company’s drive towards sustainable construction solutions.
LC-3 cement significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions—by up to 40 per cent compared to Ordinary Portland Cement—underscoring JK Cement’s commitment to climate-conscious manufacturing. The product features a unique material composition of 50 per cent clinker, 30 per cent calcined clay, and 15 per cent limestone.
Targeted for high-profile infrastructure projects across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and other regions, LC-3 aligns with the company's four-pillar sustainability strategy: decarbonisation, circular economy, resource efficiency, and sustainable innovation.
This strategic addition is expected to support long-term financial growth while reinforcing JK Cement’s leadership in environmentally responsible construction materials.
