Shree Ladies Club Donates Ambulance to Delhi hospital

In a meaningful CSR initiative, Shree Ladies Club — a group comprising spouses of Shree Cement employees — donated a fully equipped ambulance to Sant Parmanand Hospital, Delhi. The handover took place during the Club’s annual Teej celebration in Gurugram, led by Seema Akhoury, President of the Club.

This donation reinforces the Club’s commitment to supporting underserved communities through targeted, socially driven initiatives. The ambulance will help strengthen the hospital’s emergency response capacity, especially benefitting underprivileged patients in the Delhi-NCR region who rely on timely, accessible healthcare services.

Speaking at the event, Seema Akhoury said, “At Shree Ladies Club, we strive to extend care beyond our immediate circle and contribute in ways that truly make a difference. It may be a small gesture, but it plays an important role in improving access to emergency medical services for those who need it most.”

Established in 1933, the Sant Parmanand Group of Hospitals (President: BG Bangur; Executive Head: Dr Sagar Rajgopal; Treasurer: Sudhir Maheshwari) operates from Civil Lines and Kashmere Gate. It is a multi-specialty tertiary care centre known for its patient-first approach and excellence in clinical outcomes.

The hospital is especially recognised for its orthopaedic expertise, featuring Delhi’s first autonomous robotic joint replacement system. It treats over 1.08 lakh patients annually, offering a mix of affordable and free treatments, including complex surgeries across specialities such as Orthopaedics, Neurosciences, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Cardiology, and Critical Care.

This initiative by Shree Ladies Club is part of its broader vision to improve lives through simple yet impactful acts of service that extend meaningful support to society.
