ACME Solar Holdings Limited (ACME Solar) has operationalised a three point six two gigawatt hour (GWh) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity across project sites in Rajasthan. The Gurugram based firm said the addition follows the commissioning of a 33.331 MW/120.384 MWh BESS at Badi Sid village in Bap tehsil, covering parts of Phalodi and Jodhpur districts. The company released the project details in a corporate statement and noted the deployments increase its operational storage footprint in India.

In the current financial year to date, the group has commissioned two point two nine GWh of BESS capacity through its subsidiaries. The firm indicated the scale up forms part of a rapid expansion of grid scale battery assets intended to strengthen grid stability and support peak hour demand. The projects form a component of efforts to advance reliable round the clock renewable power.

Earlier, ACME Suryodaya commissioned a 240.720 MWh BESS in Jaisalmer that was scheduled for commercial operation on July two and is located at Sanwara and Mehar Nagar villages in Pokhran tehsil. ACME Sun Power Private Limited completed the 33.331 MW/120.384 MWh installation at Badi Sid in Bap tehsil. These installations extend the firm's presence in Rajasthan and contribute to local grid resources.

ACME Solar's diversified portfolio totals 8,070 MW across solar, wind, storage, floating distributed renewable energy and hybrid solutions, with an operational contracted capacity of 2,990 MW and about three point six two GWh of operational BESS capacity. The under construction contracted capacity stands at 5,080 MW and the PPA signed portfolio under construction is 3,880 MW. The company has in house engineering, procurement and construction and operations and maintenance divisions, enabling end to end plant delivery while emphasising timely completion, cost effectiveness and capacity utilisation. The firm clarified that a recent fire at one site resulted in limited loss amounting to around Rs two mn and said it will continue to progress its grid connected storage roll out while maintaining site safety.
