Advait Energy Wins Rs 2,505.9 Mn Gujarat Power Contracts

Advait Energy Transitions Ltd has secured four turnkey contracts worth Rs 2,505.9 million (mn) from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd to develop underground power distribution infrastructure across Gujarat, with the projects to be executed over the next 18 months. The contracts were awarded on July 9 in the normal course of business and cover comprehensive conversion of overhead networks into underground cable systems.

The work will convert existing high-tension and low-tension lines into underground cable systems with Ring Main Systems across the Porbandar, Bhuj and Bhavnagar circles. The scope includes site surveys, design, engineering, procurement, supply, installation, testing and commissioning, together with GIS and Geo Urja mapping developed by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd and asset tagging under the SI Scheme.

The largest order, valued at Rs 755.6 mn, is for converting the low-tension line network and consumer service lines into an underground cable network at the Udyognagar Subdivision (Part-1) in the Porbandar Circle under Package-61. The company also secured a Rs 642.0 mn contract for conversion of the 11 kV high-tension and low-tension network at the Mandvi City Subdivision in the Bhuj Circle under Package-43, and a Rs 582.5 mn order for the Adhewada (Akwada) Subdivision in the Bhavnagar Circle under Package-18. A further Rs 525.8 mn contract covers the Ranavav Subdivision in the Porbandar Circle under Package-58.

All four contracts have been awarded by PGVCL and provide for end-to-end execution including project documentation. Shares of Advait Energy Transitions were trading one point five two per cent higher at Rs 2,225.90 on the National Stock Exchange after touching an intraday high of Rs 2,276, and the projects are scheduled for completion within 18 months. The contracts are intended to strengthen the company's footprint in Gujarat and support the transition to underground distribution infrastructure.
