Bajel Projects Wins Ultra?Mega Transmission Line Contract
The scope includes bypassing of the Raigarh (Tamnar)–Dharamjaygarh (Sec?B) 765 kV double circuit line and reconfiguration to form the Raigarh (Kotra)–Dharamjaygarh (Sec?B) 765 kV double circuit line, a line?in?line?out of Dharamjaygarh (Sec?B)–Jharsuguda (Sec?A) at Raigarh (Kotra)?II substation and associated works around Raigarh (Tamnar) and Raigarh (Kotra)?II substations. The package is defined as Transmission Line Package TL05 and includes associated civil and electrical works required for line routing and substation interfacing. The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity.
The work is an EPC contract and the completion period is 33 months from the date of issuance of notification of award. The company confirmed that none of the promoters, promoter group or group companies have any interest in the awarding entity and that the contract does not constitute a related party transaction. The order is classified as Ultra?Mega and the threshold for that category is Rs four billion (bn) and above.
The company has notified the stock exchanges in compliance with listing obligations and will record the contract in its order book in accordance with applicable accounting and disclosure policies.
